We wanted to give something back to the community and make a donation to a well deserving charity and thought what better way than purchasing our very own elephant. We fell in love with the beauty of Worcester conveyed in it and felt it only right to rename her Alice after her very talented creator!
Come and visit Alice at the surgery and if able, please do donate what you can to:
What its all about:
A celebration of Worcester scenery and landmarks, Alice's design features the iconic Cathedral, Glover's Needle, City Bridge and the Malvern Hills. Black pear trees, snowdrops (the emblem of St Richard's Hospice) and brightly-coloured swans represent local nature. Painted in a highly decorative style, reminiscent of porcelain patterns, this elephant is also reminiscent of the city's porcelain industry.
St Richard's Hospice cares for adults with serious, progressive illness - improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment, and to their last days. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,400 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.
St Richard's is an independent charity and relies on donations and gifts in Wills for the majority of its income with 20% funded by the NHS. The charity delivered one previous and hugely popular Wild in Art trail, Worcester Stands Tall, in the Summer of 2018.
